International Day of Forests


Tilak High School marked the International Day of Forest on 24th March 2017 to raise awareness of the importance of all types of forests, and trees outside forests, for the benefit of current and future generations


    Holi Celebration


    The ferstival of colours was marked by the school on the 10 March 2017. Students took part and observed the faag (songs about holi), presentation and speech.



    Ram Naumi

    The school marked the Annual Ram Naumi Celebration on 4th April 2017. The students sung Kirtan and Ramayan, to mark the birth of Lord Rama


    Duke of Edinburgh International Award


    Silver & Bronze Camp

    The  expedition (camp) for our DEIA students to Tavarau under the Bronze and Silver Awards was carried out for three days, Thursday to Saturday (30th March to 1st April, 2017).
    The students departed for their expedition on different days as per DEIA requirements.

    ...It is rather unfortunate that not all students will be getting awards today. In fact, only 276 students will be honored today. To all those that have missed out, the words of Winston Churchill “Never never never give up” is appropriate. And by paraphrasing reverend Swami Vivekananda’s “Arise, awake, and stop not till the goal is reached." Arise, arise once more, for nothing can be done without sacrifice” is inspirational to all....
